Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to promote next month's bout.
Ex two time unified boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the novice remains one of boxing's greatest financial successes, regularly earning massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really happening.
